A guide to the map generator's control panel.

Preview Zoom Slider: Magnifies the map preview area for detail work. This does not affect the final downloaded image size.

Label Type: Choose between a "City/Town" style (a small dot with text) or a "State/Region" style (large, arched text).
Font Size/Spacing/Wave Controls: Adjust the appearance of the selected label type.
Add Label: Click to enter labeling mode, then click on the map to place a new text label.
Hide/Show Labels: Toggles the visibility of all text labels on the map.
Tip: To delete a single label, Shift-click on it.

Stamp Sliders (Opacity, Size, Cleanup): Adjusts the transparency, overall size, and background-removal sensitivity for all placed stamps.
Stamp Selection Grid: Click an image to select it. Then, click on the map to place it.
Upload Stamp(s): Add your own transparent PNG files to use as stamps.
Clear Placed Stamps: Removes all stamp images from the map.
Tip: To delete a single stamp, Shift-click on it.

Draw/Stop/Clear Buttons: Enter drawing mode to draw custom political or regional borders on the map.
Style Controls: Sets the border's appearance (dashes or dots), color, and the size/spacing of the pattern.
Tip: To delete a border, you must clear all of them.

Draw/Stop/Clear Buttons: Enter drawing mode to add rivers to the map.
Start/End Width: Controls the width of the river at its start and end points to create a natural tapering effect.
Tip: To delete a single river, Shift-click on it.

Show Waves: Toggles the animated wave pattern over the ocean areas.
Opacity/Scale: Controls the transparency and size of the repeating wave graphic.

Font Selector: Changes the master font used for the Title Block, Scale Bar, and all text Labels for a consistent typographical style.

Width/Height: Sets the final pixel dimensions for the downloaded map image.
Zoom/Roughness/Threshold: Core settings for the terrain generation. Adjust these to create vastly different landmass shapes and coastlines.
Generation Toggles (Radial, Warp, Ridged): Advanced options that alter the map generation algorithm for different styles (e.g., creating a single island vs. a continental mass).
Generate / Back: Creates a new map with the current settings or goes back to the previously generated map.

Text Inputs: Sets the text for the title, subheading, year, and cartographer's name.
Style Controls: Adjusts letter spacing, italics, border thickness, and the overall size of the title block element.

Unit / Total Length / Subdivisions: Defines the real-world distance the scale bar represents (e.g., a "Total Length" of 100 "leagues" with 4 "Subdivisions").
Bar Width / Bar Scale: Controls the visual pixel length of the bar on the map and its overall size, respectively.

Use Color Toggle: Switches between a full-color map and a monochrome (black/parchment) style.
Color Pickers: Select the exact colors for the land, sea, or the monochrome palette.

Show Paper Texture: Toggles a background paper texture overlay. The "Next" button cycles through available textures.
Show Border: Toggles the main decorative double-line border around the entire map edge.
Inset/Opacity Controls: Adjusts the placement of the main border and the transparency of the paper texture.
